Bubble Vision

A series of ephemeral, transparent bubbles appear floating in the exhibition space, visible via the camera on the mobile device held by the visitor. At first, the bubbles appear  to be vacant inside. However, when the viewer approaches one of the spheres and places the device inside it, a world is revealed to them inside, filled with sound, movement and texture. To what extent do we build our domestic and public spaces, ecosystems, markets, our beliefs into enclosed systems, forming them into bubbles that we can not see out of? How stable are these spheres? Could they rupture and change at any minute? The simultaneously intimate and communal experience of the installation Bubble Vision invites us to consider the solitude of human perception and the fragility of the worlds we build around us.
